This product is a saturated dicarboxylic acid that can be found in many different types of whole grains such as barley, wheat and rye. This acid can also be found in the human body and it is extremely weak and is not corrosive like other types of acids. Azelaic acid is known as a very good antibacterial. This means that it can reduce, destroy and kill the growth of bacteria that cause a wide range of skin problems. It also destroys free radicals and is extremely good at reducing inflammation. It is also able to reduce pigmentation and if you have facial scars it is often good to use it.
Azelaic acid is known as a very effective treatment for acne, however another skin condition, rosacea can be affected positively by this product. For the better results it is often good to use the acid alongside a skin care regimen.
