There is a word called Etiquette but unfortunately some golfers doesn’t have the faintest idea what it means. They just do as they like without having any consideration for safety, the pace of the game and rules relating to the maintaining of the golf course.
Here is 10 tips to educate those golfers:
Keep it safe. Make sure that other golfers in your group are at a safe distance before you swing your club. The same goes for you. Make sure you are at a safe distance when others are swinging.
Never seen in the direction of another player because there might be small stones or tweaks that can injure them.
Do not hit your ball until you’re sure the group in front of you is out of range.
If your ball is heading towards another player or group you must warn them by yelling out “fore!”
Never throw your clubs in anger because it’s not only rude but dangerous.
Don’t let the group wait for you. Don’t waste time by looking too long for lost balls.
Allow fast players or groups to past.
Always leave the putting green as soon as your group has finished putting
Only drive with the golf cart where you are allowed. Keep carts away from greens.
Repair all divots and ball marks on the green
You should also never talk during another player’s swing. Be very quiet. Never yell out following a short. Make sure you don’t cast a shadow over the players putting line.
If you are one of those golfers who know this but still ignore it, don’t be surprised when someone really gets annoyed with you.
