What Supporting Documents Should I Include For Unmarried Partner Visa - Uk?

What supporting documents should you include besides bills, etc..to help prove that you have been in a genuine relationship for more than 2 years?

Answer
When I went to the Home Office for the appointment (I took about 120 documents!) I had a major obstacle at the reception, even though I had all the necessary documents! They wanted a letter from the University !. They wouldn’t let me even meet a caseworker without this! This is not specified anywhere as a requirement so I was gob smacked!

Therefor learn from my experience…The most important document of all is a document to prove that you are staying in the UK legally. For example if you are a student you MUST take a letter from your University confirming your attendance and progress. Simply put, if you are not staying legally then this is not the right type of Visa for you!

You should have at least 2 documents per month! (so 48 documents in total for the 2 year period). One document per person, with the address. It’s always advisable and useful to have some backup documents as well, just in case if they refuse to accept certain documents.

This Visa is totally worth it and is Probably the best type of Visa available in the UK. I must say the Visa officer and the case workers were very helpful and kind. Obviously it’s a good idea to actually go to the Home Office and present your case, as opposed to sending your documents by post. The premium service provides a decision on the same day!
