Hyperhidrosis Treatment

Hyperhidrosis a condition of generalized or specific excessive sweating can be really bothering due to its odor and constant damp feeling, that is why people want to treat it. There are several ways to hide the effects of hyperhidrosis with deodorants and some medical drugs on daily basis, but a lot of people want to end this problem permanently and start a better, sweat free life.

As said hyperhidrosis can be controlled effectively, but unfortunately there is no known cure that would end this problem permanently, because not a lot is known about the causes of excessive sweating. The most known medications that are used for hyperhidrosis treatment are aluminium chloride (hexahydrate), botulinum toxin type A and some oral medications. Aluminium chloride is used in smaller amounts in deodorants, but those who suffer from hyperhidrosis need it in much bigger, 15% amounts for about a week for seen affect.

The problem is that some people can not tolerate aluminium chloride and that the solution is not effective for palmar and plantar hyperhidrosis. Botulin toxin is probably the most famous one not because of its affect in this area, but because it’s probably the best, the most used cure for getting rid of wrinkles. The affect is actually quite good, approved by FDA and partially paid by some insurance companies.

Of course there are also several oral drugs on the market which are used to treat hyperhidrosis. The most promising is probably Ditropan, but can cause drowsiness and dry-mouth, there are also beta-blockers, which are not as affective as Ditropan is and of course antidepressant, since excessive sweating is often caused by a psychological condition. Recently the most known and more and more used method is natural treatment which can be really affective.
