The X Factor: How Fast Can It Ruin Your Life? | ArticlesBase.com

Thursday, December 24th, 2009

It was absolutely embarrassing! I couldnt stay awake. After eating a normal breakfast lunch or dinner I was out like a light. No I am not talking about the Thanksgiving turkey tryptophan thing that is the brunt of so many jokes-this was not funny at all.

I tried to cope with this for over a year until one day driving in town on a busy street in broad daylight- I fell asleep at the wheel. That was bad enough but as it happened my fiance was with me to witness the event. Fortunately the worst that happened was I scared the hell out of both of us. That did it- I had to get some help.

HGH supplements vs Injections | ArticlesBase.com

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

When considering anti aging treatment with the human growth hormone, there are two options when choosing how it is administered. You can either take the hormone in injections or through supplements. When human growth hormone treatment first started, injections were the only way to get this treatment. Now, science has made it safer and cheaper to start human growth hormone therapy.

Human growth hormone injections can cost anywhere from $1,000.00 to $3,000.00 per month. The injection sites can also be very painful. The only advantage to these injections is that the results appear much faster than with a supplement. However, the risks are far greater than the rewards. The pituitary gland produces the human growth hormone naturally. According to research, this gland can stop working completely with the injection treatment. The body will get so used to getting the hormone from an outside source that it will recognize the gland as useless and shut it down.

Anti Aging Exercise Will Keep You Youthful | ArticlesBase.com

Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009

You may have heard that proper exercise can make you look and feel much younger than your years? If you knew it to be true would it be something that would interest you?

A recent study showed that people who perform proper strength building and maintaining exercise on average have DNA at least a decade younger than their actual age. Let us look at some of the ways this anti aging formula can happen.

Having toned muscles will fill out and pad your skin from the underneath so that wrinkles disappear and skin is held firm and taut. Your muscles are attached to your bones so when they are strong they hold the skeleton in its proper position keeping a youthful posture. Strong muscles also support the joints and cushion them from the impact of day to day activities.

The biggie with having strong muscles is that they keep the metabolism (your body's engine) in good working order. If your metabolism is allowed to decrease because of a lack of proper exercise you will gain weight increasing your risk of 'chronic lifestyle diseases' such as heart disease, cancer and diabetes along with at least 50 others.

Your proper exercise program of strength training exercise will improve and increase your energy levels. This increased energy will make you feel younger and you will find you sleep better so are more refreshed each day. Mentally you become more alert and will experience sharper thinking.

Exercise will also held with reducing stress levels which in the busyness of our daily lives can become overwhelming if a coping mechanism such as an exercise program is not firmly in place. All the organs and systems in our bodies are negatively affected by stress. When you are physically active and are strong and fit, your body will automatically release anti-stress chemicals to help neutralize stress producing chemicals.

Proper exercise also increases the levels of youthful hormones such as growth hormone (HGH). This hormone helps us look and feel younger. If levels aren't adequate you can become more wrinkled, experience energy decrease, saggy skin and an ever increasing waistline. By the age of 30, our body's natural supply of HGH is already decreasing but luckily, you can help your body produce more HGH with proper exercise to keep you youthful no matter your age.

As some people get older they look for ways to reclaim their youthfulness such as pills, injections, surgery, vitamin supplements, hormone replacements and the list goes on. But none of these can:

* transform your body like strength training exercise does

* give you unlimited energy like strength training exercise does

* make you stronger and more vibrant like strength training exercise does

* make you mentally strong like strength training exercise does

* prevent you from disease and sickness like strength training exercise does

* prevent you from having aches and pains like strength training exercise does

* give you long-lasting health like strength training exercise does

Do not expect these sort of anti aging benefits if you rely on cardio type activity instead of a proper muscle building and toning exercise program. Recreational activities like cycling or swimming, walking or jogging are great as part on an active lifestyle but can never replace the multitude of health benefits that strength training exercise can give.

If you haven't already, get started on your quest for better strength and fitness. You will keep your body in top shape and provide yourself with the energy and stamina you need to pursue all that life has to offer. You will not only prolong your life but will improve the quality of that life as well.About the Author:

Treadmill Desks More Effective in Cancer Prevention for Women

Friday, March 13th, 2009

New research verifies treadmill desks more effective in cancer prevention than vitamin supplementation

Yet another study published online by the Journal of the National Cancer Institute confirmed that vitamin supplementation provided no statistically significant value in cancer prevention among women. This study comes on the heels of numerous studies which all draw the same conclusion: vitamin supplementation among a normally well nourished population has no positive effect on cancer prevention. Daily exercise, such as that provided by treadmill desks however does assist in both prevention and potential mitigation of various forms of cancers in both men and women.
The National Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School reported in November that Vitamins A thru E were ineffective in cancer prevention as well. These studies are casting a bright spotlight towards the most effective preventative measure available: exercise.
