GERD also called acid indigestion?burning-type pain in the lower part of the mid-chest, behind the breast bone, and in the mid-abdomen.
Acid reflux usually referred to as Gastro-Oesophageal Reflux. GER occurs when the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) opens spontaneously, for varying periods of moment, or does not end decently and abdomen contents climb upward into the esophagus. The esophagus is the pipe that carries nutrient from the lip to the abdomen. The LES is a gang of muscle at the side of the esophagus that acts like a valve between the esophagus and abdomen. The principal symptom of GERD in adults is regular heartburn.
